SAVE THE DATE December 9 - 10 | Madrid, Spain Save the date for two Low-Emissions Solutions Conference (LESC) events happening alongside COP25 in Madrid, Spain under the theme of Systems Transformation for a 1.5 Degree World.   Systems Transformation for a 1.5 Degree World Location: Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Madrid, Spain Date: Monday, 9 December (full day) and Tuesday, 10 December (half day) The Systems Transformation for a 1.5 Degree World event is a special edition of the Low-Emissions Solutions Conference (LESC) taking place alongside COP25 in partnership with the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability,  and hosted by the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. These partners are bringing together technical experts and world-leading scientists, engineers and innovators from business, academia, and cities to accelerate the transition to a carbon neutral future.  This year's event at COP25 will build off the learning from the SDSN's Roadmap to 2050: A Manual for National to Decarbonize by Mid-Century report done in partnership with Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM). The report was written in consultation with more than 60 engineers to catalog the technologies currently available to decarbonize our power, transport, industrial, and buildings sectors, and to highlight the sector coupling opportunities available with a systems approach. By showcasing successful case studies with collaborative storytelling, LESC provides an area alongside COP for collaborative brainstorming, problem solving, and knowledge sharing. Register Now LESC Dinner Circular Economy: Driving Systems  Transformation to Net-Zero Location: Casino de Madrid Date: Monday, 9 December (18:30 – 22:30) At this High-Level Dinner, distinguished representatives from government, academia, business, and civil society will discuss the role of circular economy in driving systems transformation to achieve net-zero emissions and bring us on track to the 1.5°C objective of the Paris Agreement. Spotlight presentations will facilitate rich dialogue on what is still needed and how public-private partnerships can support the common objectives between nations, cities, business, and academia.    Due to space constraints, we have limited seating available for this event.
