Healing the Australian landscape: The wisdom of First Peoples and cultural burning

Cultural burning is a traditional Indigenous practice of low-intensity, controlled fires conducted in optimal conditions to reduce fuel loads, enhance biodiversity, and restore native vegetation. Integrating it into modern land management can protect landscapes, restore ecosystems, and strengthen our connection with nature.
Addressing housing affordability

Pioneers of the Malmö Commitment on Inclusive and Equitable Communities are working to address the complex challenges of housing affordability, equity, and sustainability through innovative initiatives. This report from eight major European subnational government networks, including ICLEI Europe, reveals that vulnerable households in the EU are at risk of being underserved by the €86 billion Social Climate Fund due to their inadequate consultation by national governments.
