La Comunidad de Práctica MetLAC es una iniciativa conjunta de una iniciativa conjunta del Center for Clean Air Policy Center (CCAP) e ImplementaSur, en el marco del proyecto Reciclo Orgánicos, y la Plataforma Regional LEDS LAC, con fondos del Global Methane Hub. Fue lanzada en octubre de 2023, con el propósito de promover y apoyar el desarrollo de políticas públicas, modelos de negocios y proyectos de inversión para reducir las emisiones de metano de fuentes orgánicas en América Latina y el Caribe a través de la reducción de la pérdida y desperdicio de alimentos, el compostaje, la digestión anaerobia y otras tecnologías relevantes. La CdP reúne a representantes de organizaciones públicas, privadas y de la sociedad civil de 13 países de la región. |

| The Community of Practice MetLAC is a joint initiative by the Center for Clean Air Policy (CCAP) and ImplementaSur, within the Recycle Organics project, and LEDS LAC Platform, with support from the Global Methane Hub. It was launched in October 2023 to promote and support the development of public policies, business models, and investment projects aimed at reducing methane emissions from organic sources in Latin America and the Caribbean by reducing food loss and waste, composting, anaerobic digestion, and other relevant technologies. The Community of Practice brings together representatives from public, private, and civil society organizations from 13 countries in the region.
