2019 is a year of excitement as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Global Village. Since 1989, volunteers have contributed more than 9 million hours to bringing strength, stability and self-reliance to homeowners across the globe -- and that's just counting Global Village trips! The dedicated and passionate volunteers that donate their time, financial resources and talents to travel and learn more about new cultures, meet new people and work tirelessly on the build site continuously amaze us. Thank you for your support as we work towards a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Stay tuned throughout the year as we celebrate 30 years of Global Village and the volunteers, staff and homeowners that make this program possible.

Whether your last trip was 20 years ago or you're embarking on an exciting Global Village adventure tomorrow, we want to hear from you! Share your story (and photos!) with us and you could be featured during the year as we celebrate the work of volunteers throughout the world.

Support Habitat through a year of service
A service year with Habitat AmeriCorps is an opportunity to further develop real-world skills through hands-on service. Habitat AmeriCorps supports local Habitat organizations in helping them serve more families and engage more volunteers. Opportunities are available nationwide.

Apply for Habitat for Humanity's 2019 Disaster Corps class
Disaster Corps is now accepting applications to join their program. If accepted, you'll undergo training in order to be able to work in disaster settings, increase Habitat's overall ability to respond to disasters and assist more families who are vulnerable to disasters. This nimble force of diverse volunteers is ready to be deployed quickly and effectively when disaster strikes to aid in long-term recovery activities, as well as support disaster planning, mitigation and preparedness efforts.

Explore more about Habitat's Disaster Corps program online, and once you're ready, submit your application.

Collegiate Challenge
Looking to volunteer closer to home? Habitat's Collegiate Challenge program is also celebrating 30 years, and this program isn't just for college students! All you need is a group of five or more people between the ages of 16 and 25 and you can fly, road-trip or caravan to nearly any state in the country -- including Hawaii!. Check out this program and more ways to get involved with Habitat's work on our website.
